Promoting the fascination craft of Lace is an important aim of Preston Lace Makers. Through Lace Days, demonstrations and exhibitions many people have discovered how enjoyable and relaxing it is to sit down and make lace.

Guild Hall Foyer 2nd February 1994 ~ demonstration and display of lace organised by the Needlework shop, Friargate

Guild Hall Arcade 4th August 1994 ~ demonstration and display in Tourist Information Office

Salmesbury Hall 2006 held at the Gujerati Hindu Society Centre

Preston Arts Festival 5 - 12 Oct 2008

Lancashire Museum 8th October 2008~ held a lacemaking workshop as part of the Preston Arts Festival

Harris Museum December 2008 ~ members work were shown as part of the Harris Open Exhibition

Traditional Folk Festival July  & November held at Lostock Hall High School - display of members work  and demonstration of lacemaking
